Halong

Ha Long Bay is located in the Northeast of Vietnam, belonging to Quang Ninh Province. It is in the coastal area. To the west and northwest, Ha Long Bay stretches from Yen Hung District, and includes the large urban areas of Ha Long City and Cam Pha Town, as well as Van Don Island District. To the south and southeast, it is adjacent to the western Tonkin Gulf and to the west and southwest lies Cat Ba Island in the province of Hai Phong. On the world map, Ha Long Bay borders to China in the north and in the east it is adjacent to the East Sea.

Halong Bay, 'Bay of the Descending Dragon' is recognized as the World Natural Heritage Site. Halong consist of mainly limestone and schist islands that lie in a dense cluster and covered with rich vegetation. The splendidly intoxicating beaches and breathtaking scenery is what make Halong Vietnam's most popular tourist destination.

Hoi An

Hoi An is a small town situated on the coast of the South China Sea in Central Vietnam 30 km south of Danang. This beautiful and ancient city is famous for its wooden houses and narrow streets that have virtually remained unchanged for centuries. Visitors also enjoy the fantastic shopping opportunities, especially the silk shops. Hoi An is home to a wide array of hotel accommodation that range from luxury hotels to the quaint inexpensive lodgings.

Hoi An is not loaded with entertainment options that cater towards children. This is an old city with an old style, and the majority of activities involve historic sites, traditional homes and people-watching. The nearby beach at Cua Dai is always a good option and accessible to kids. Scuba diving and boat tours to Cham Island are another good way to spend an afternoon.

Situated along the Perfume River, Hue is one on the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam. This Imperial city is know as the Vietnamese fashion capital and is home to some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts in the country. The seas are quite rough around Hue, so water sports are not much of an option.

Sightseeing

The old city of Hue is a UNESCO World Heritage site for good reason. It was once an imperial city, and has dozens of royal tombs, pagodas, palaces and other intriguing ancient sites worth pondering from the Nguyen dynasty. At the heart of it all is Hue’s main attraction, the Citadel and Imperial City complex.

Phan Thiet

The picturesque city of Phan Thiet is one of the most beautiful cities in Vietnam. The city is filled with rolling hills and overflowing with flowery plants. The lovely fishing village and sheltered shoreline is blanketed with sand dunes and is a popular spot for tourist seeking a respite. The town centre houses a number of oriental temples and opulent palaces.

One of most interesting sights is the Ho Chi Minh Museum, which houses fascinating exhibits that depict the history of Ho Chi Minh. Mui Ne beach is another very popular attraction. This beautiful tropical beach is lined with groups of swaying coconut trees and enormous sand dunes. Favourite sporting activities on beach include windsurfing and parasailing. Phan Thiet also has quite a few elegant restaurant and colourful bars dotted throughout the city.

Only four hours away by bus from Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet is a quiet little beach town with a charming fishing village atmosphere. The town is surrounded by a string of rolling hills, green vegetation and a sheltered shoreline covered with sand dunes.

Phan Thiet is really more of a resort town for those who want to relax and take it easy, as well as for avid water sports enthusiasts. There are, however, some good and exciting activities for children. Beaches are always popular and provide endless opportunities for play, while sliding down a sand dune is something the kids will talk about with their friends even when they’ve returned home.

While attractions in Phan Thiet city itself are somewhat limited, the beautiful surroundings provide lots of great sights to visit. Cat Ba Island: The biggest among the 366 islands on the Lan Ha Bay. The island is praised for its magnificent scenery of luring mountains facing the dazzling blue sea.
