Hotel Introduction

The RELC International Hotel is a nice uptown hotel with comfort as a top priority.it is an organization conceived by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). Our primary function is to cater to the growing needs of English literacy for this region. We have since grown into a renowned centre for language learning and teaching, complete with state-of-the-art facilities as well as a hotel complete with very comfortable, spacious, and well appointed rooms.

The RELC International Hotel though just a stone's throw from the shopper's paradise of Orchard Road, is located in a quiet and largely residential area of Singapore.

The Hotel offers a wide range of accommodation and facilities including guest rooms, serviced apartments, meeting rooms and a large auditorium.

For those who have come to Singapore to work, there is no need to travel long distances in search of food. Two restaurants, one offering Chinese cuisine and the other more international fare are found right on the premises.

If on the other hand, you are visiting Singapore as a tourist, not far from the hotel you will find, shopping, dining and nightlife to suit any taste.

The RELC was initially conceived as a learning centre as a government project. Although it still operates the school, the hotel operations boasts of very large rooms in very good condition. For the leisure traveller, it is still within a 10-15 minute walk past the Shangri La hotel to downtown Orchard Road and is a very nice stay in a quiet neighbourhood. Hotel also provide regular complimentary shuttle service to business and shopping districts.

The building is white with mirrored glass windows. Recently refurbished, the building houses a education centre in the lower floors and the hotel starts from the ninth to sixteenth floor. Being in a prime residential district, the views of green trees and expensive houses and condominiums.

Room and Accommodation

The rooms are very large when compared to other hotels. The rooms are very clean in white paint, balcony and classical English style furniture. With large windows the room has a light and airy feel. The bathroom has a long marble counter, rose tiles and is very clean. The standard room (Executive Twin) has 2 single beds. Hollywood Queen are equipped with 2 queen size beds and king size bed are available in Alcove Suite.

More than just a comfortable hotel:
The International Hotel has 147 guest rooms including suites, as well as Hollywood Queens and Executive Twins that offer optimal comfort to match your every need. Each spacious room which includes a private balcony is tastefully designed to include modern conveniences such as an attached bathroom, coffee/tea-making facilities and a mini-fridge.

The daily local newspaper is delivered to your door every morning and the TV in your room gives you access to a variety of local channels a well as international cable networks such as BBC, CNN, HBO, Chinese Variety Vision (Drama and Entertainment), Discovery, ESPN, Super Sports.
For internet users, high-speed broadband and email access is provided in every room.

If you are health conscious, the fitness room on the 7th floor is available from 7am to 9pm daily.

If on the other hand you want to go out, there is a regular complimentary shuttle service to the business and shopping districts.

2 single beds in each standard room, choice of 2 standard room sharing a common area attached with a toilet/bathroom or choice of 4 standard rooms sharing a common area with 2 toilet/bathroom attached. Attached balcony shared by Standard rooms (Limited amenities).

Having to travel away from home, you expect to find assistance from hotel staff as well as nice facilities: hotel will provide you with a variety of amenities in order to meet your needs.

Meetings and Events:
The RELC International Hotel is specially designed to cater for conferences, seminars, workshops and social events. It offers a choice of twelve function rooms ranging from small to medium sized seminar rooms to a large auditorium.
The new two-storey auditorium has a seating capacity of 489, with 343 seats in the main auditorium and 146 in the circle balcony. The auditorium offers superb acoustics and a full array of presentation equipment for performances, trade launches, graduation ceremonies, talks or private functions. Our highly experienced conference office can see to all your needs from equipment, specialized personnel, to the catering.

The foyer outside the auditorium is an ideal location for cocktail receptions and mini exhibitions. If you choose to have your reception or after-event cocktail under the night sky there is 'The Terrace' on the second floor.

RELC offers a choice of two excellent restaurants, the highly reputed Pin Hsiang, Chinese restaurant and a cafe. There is a Chinese restaurant and a cafe which open for breakfast.

Supporting Multimedia Services:
We are supported by a host of multimedia services not commonly found in other hotels. Like our fully equipped audio recording studio, two 21-station computer laboratory and the resource library and information centre.


The medium sized lobby is to the right of the entrance. Finished in various marble, it is very bright with open glass wall on one side and limited seating is available.
