Hotel Introduction
facade

Goodwood Park Hotel stands on some of the world's most expensive and exclusive real estate. On its own hill overlooking Singapore's famous Scotts and Orchard Roads, the Goodwood Park started life in 1900 as the Teutonia Club, survived two world wars, and is now a romantic and stately reminder of the leisurely days of early Singapore.

Built in 1900, Goodwood Park Hotel began as the Teutonia Club - an exclusive enclave for the expatriate German community in Singapore. In 1929, the Manassehs turned Goodwood Hall into Goodwood Park Hotel, catering to travelling businessmen from Malaya. This 5 star heritage hotel became one of the best-known hotels at the end of the nineteen thirties and among the noted guests from that period was the Duke of Windsor, later the Prince of Wales of England. For over 100 years, the Hotel withstood the ravages of time, endured many transitions and the passing of two World Wars till today, where she stands out as a beacon of Singapore’s rich and cultural heritage.

Recognised among Asia’s grand hotels, the Hotel’s unique site on a hillock is an established landmark along Scotts Road - one of Singapore’s most prestigious address. Indeed, Goodwood Park is a distinguished institution in hospitality circles, and truly one of the most reputable pioneers of the tourism industry. Much of her original beauty has been faithfully restored and her majestic air artfully accentuated with fluted columns, delicate woodworks, decorative plasterwork and graceful archways. Through the years, she has gained recognition for her exquisite elegance, legendary charm and tradition of excellence, with her Grand Tower gazetted a national monument in 1989. On September 21 2000, this grand dame celebrated her 100th anniversary.

Relive the opulence of a colonial era at Goodwood Park. With an illustrious tradition of unparalleled hospitality, luxurious accommodation and renowned cuisine, a stay in this preferred heritage hotel is nothing short of unforgettable.

Location
map

Goodwood Park Hotel Singapore, designated a national monument in 1989, has been a distinctive landmark in Singapore since the property was built in 1900. Perched atop its own little hill, the Goodwood Park Hotel is nestled in six hectares of lush manicured gardens. At the same time the Goodwood Park Hotel is in the center of the citys entertainment and shopping districts. Two swimming pools are available for relaxation and exercise.

Conveniently located in the heart of the shopping and entertainment district of Orchard Road and Scotts Road, the Hotel is within the main banking and business district of Shenton Way. Taxi to the Singapore Changi Airport will take approximately 25 minutes.

In the heart of the shopping and entertainment district of Orchard/Scotts Road. Only 12 minutes by car to the main banking and business district of Shenton Way. Approximately 25 minutes from the Singapore Changi Airport.

Probably the region’s most famous shopping street. Singpore’s Orchard Road is lined with shopping malls packed with local and international department stores, tiny boutiques, restaurants, cafes and snack bars. Strategically placed in-between are many international five star hotels like the Hilton, Le Meridien, Meritus and Marriott, as well as quality local hotels – perfect places to retreat after a hard day pounding the shopping malls. The varied architectural styles are a testament to the area’s growth over the past 20 years as the shopping phenomenon has taken off. Istana Negara Singapura or Presidential Palace, located next to the Meridien Hotel is the (non-shopping) place of interest, although it’s only open to the public on certain occasions. If you’re here to shop, stay around Orchard road and save your energy for pounding the malls

A dynamic city rich in contrast and colour, you'll find a harmonious blend of culture, cuisine, arts and architecture here. Brimming with unbridled energy, this little dynamo in Southeast Asia embodies the finest of both East and West.
