The region of Phan Thiet is embedded in the heart of the province Binh Thuan. The landscape offers an incredible view of which it is difficult to detach. In 1911, the French duke “de Montpensier” – who fell in love with the marvellous landscape – built a castle dominating the heights of the region. Today, the relict contrasts the towers of Poshanu – witnesses of the ancestral culture of Cham.
In 1911, Hunting in the neighbouring hills of Phan Thiet, the Duke of Montpensier had already realized that this area would become the theatre for a symphony of leisure, echoing a hedonistic idea of life: the one that can be found when your eyes wander through the infinite blue of the China Sea. The Duke decided to build his private residence, only a few meters away from the cham towers of Poshanu. Almost a hundred years later, the Amaryllis Resort has been built animated by a similar same spirit.
Elegantly conceived, with 51 hotel rooms facing the sea, Amaryllis Resort is guided by the idea of granting direct access to the enjoyments of water and sun. A main pleasure offered by the resort Amaryllis is the possibility to spend time on its terraces, themselves immersed in a sea of coconut palms. From these terraces, the view to the sea is as much impressive as soothing.
It is this very landscape that inspired the celebrated Vietnamese poet Han Mac Tu in his text "Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet": recollecting his broken romance with the beautiful Mong Cam, the poet evokes the place where he used to go with his beloved, admiring the view and benefiting from the virtues of its marine landscape. The "Amaryllis" is a most functional resort with access to the seaside within a few steps and from any place. "With one hand you'll be able to catch the dream, touch the untouchable, brush the waves with your breath."
