Mercure Samui Fenix Hotel is located Gulf of Thailand, on the South-East coast of Thailand on the famous Lamai Beach, Samui’s second largest resort area after Chaweng. It is quitter and less bustling but still with plenty of accommodation, dining and shopping option to be found. Items of popularity, the tourist’s facilities and the quality of the beach itself, Lamai came a close second to Chaweng, but with a less frenetic ambience. It is surrounded by other island, including famous tourist’s destinations such as Koh Pha-Ngan, Koh Tao and Moo Koh Ang-Thong.
EASY ACCESS
By Airways – frequent daily flights from Hong Kong, Koh Samui, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket Chiang Mai and from Bangkok about 45 minutes, to Koh Samui International Airport, and another 25 minutes by drive to the hotel.
By Ferry – passenger ferry from Don- Sak pier (Seatrans Ferry, Raja Ferry), Suratthani province, have ferry every 1 hour about 90 minutes to Nathon pier then another 25 minutes by drive from pier to the hotel.
TOURISTS ATTRACTION
“Grandfather & Grandmother Rock” - “Hin Ta – Hin Yai” the area located south of Lamai Beach, 200 meters away from the hotel only.
“Nightlife on Lamai Beach” – Lamai Beach Center is located approximately 1.5 kilometers from the hotel and away from Chaweng Beach, approximately 15 kilometers. By the hotel offers free shuttle bus service drop off Lamai Beach every day.
“Thai Boxing Stadiums” – The Lamai Stadium is located in South Lamai, between Ring Road and Lamai Beach Road. Another ring is found in a bar area in the middle of the Beach Road.
“Tesco Lotus (Lamai)” – Shopping mall and also boutique shops, camera and telephone shops, pharmacy, drug stores and banks. Air-conditioned food plaza and several chain restaurants.
“Snake Farm” – Shows feature snakes indigenous to Samui as well as Centipede, Scorpion and Cock Fighting shows. Show times are 11.00 and 14.00 everyday.
“Na-Muang Waterfall” – is located 10 km south from Nathon at Ban Thurian. There are 2 waterfalls. Na Muang one is 18 meter high and can be reached by vehicle and Na Muang two is about 80 meters high and can only be reached by a 30 minute walk. The waterfalls are the most scenic on the island.
