Mingle Place is a 28-room hotel converted from an originally unimpressive staff quarter building. The building itself was boxy and pinky located in Observatory Lane. With its prime location adjacent to Knutsford Terrace, the famous Kowloon Lan Kwai Fong , we wanted to create a unique hotel with strong individuality, design, and colour right from the start. We wanted to create a place that the elite would want to see and experience.

We used a stainless steel tiled dressing to provide a new, precedent-setting, eye-catching outlook to the entire building. Internal walls were demolished to open up entire spaces, which were redesigned to accommodate 28 rooms of 4 different styles. Comparatively speaking, the rooms are a bit smaller than the traditional hotels, but we managed to ensure that even the smallest rooms are comfortable and imaginative living spaces.

The effect we wanted to create was a cozy and homely space with strong personality characterised by light woods, warm lighting ambience, sound-absorbing wall coverings, glassed closets and transparent light fittings that are just some of the touches that make each room unique.

Bathrooms remain open with frosted glass sliding doors for times when a semblance of privacy is required.Another personal touch that makes the hotel feel not like any other is the ultra-high-tech intelligent technology thrown in by Intexact Technologies to make music, video, lighting, climate control, room service, TV and all electronic devices all converge in convenience at a touch of the finger. The mix of technology touch is subtle and sensibly controlled, only serving to enrich the whole environment and never intrusive. Intriguing while at the same time inviting, each room is a unique joy to stay in.

The exterior is quite eye catching and the interior walls have been compressed to make rooms which are not as big as the traditional hotels but comfortable and imaginatively designed to create more living spaces.

One of the most striking features of Mingle Place Hotel is the technology applied to make the interior cozy and the appliances user friendly. The latest technology from Intexact, the building experts, has made this a Personalized Techotel. The taste of technology can be felt at the time of registration. The guests are also required to register their personal preferences for room temperature, lighting, language and a taste of music. The entire process of check in is done on a Tablet PC. The registration number can be used for a self check in where the finger print is registered.

The room keys do not play any role here. One can have access to his room by simply pressing the finger. The room welcomes you in your own language and the room gets dressed as per your desire. The temperature is automatically set and the room is also lit up to suit your eyes. Your ear gets the tune to your liking with the surround-sound audio system. A Bathroom TV is placed just inside the shower to enable one to view their favorite channel even while taking a bath. The room service can be availed by the touch of your finger.

The 28 room hotel is designed in 4 different ways to attract the elite class with some state of the art technology. Created and designed by Intexact, the rooms are smaller in comparison to the traditional hotels. But a lot of creativity has been put into it to create more living spaces. The interior is designed to suit the requirements and the taste of the guest. The keys and the telephone services have been replaced by the press of a finger. The guests are identified by his finger and served a warm welcome in his own language.

The rooms have been classified into three types – Standard Room, Deluxe Room and the Executive Room.The Standard Room is located on the sixth floor and the 12th floor of the hotel building. The room features include a

Two Executive Room are located on the 13th floor with a king sized double bed and a 42” Plasma television. Other facilities remain the same.
