Klungkung Royal Palace:
The Klungkung Palace was built by the Dewa Agung dynasty in 1710. The palace that stands today is called the Semara Pura because it contains a large square with lush gardens, courtyards, pavilions and moats. The palace that stands today is actually a reconstruction, as the Dutch destroyed the original palace and grounds during attacks in 1908. This Botanical garden extends over 130 hectares of land and houses more than 650 species of trees and more than 450 types of orchids. Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave:

This museum was originally built in 1910 by the Dutch, who wanted to preserve cultural artifacts in the face of rising exportation. This museum has since been rebuilt after an earthquake in 1917. There are several buildings that highlight the different architectural styles from around the island. You can view a number of prehistoric pieces in the main building as well as traditional artifacts. In other buildings in the museum, you will come across examples of religious artifacts, traditional calendars, dance costumes and common objects that are found at all levels of Balinese society.
